This symbol of humanity speaks of “loss” in all its meanings, the denial of the truth, of our history and who we are.
What remains is defined by what is missing.
This work returns to the concept of fragments and the idea that it’s not what we can see that is important, but what we don’t see. This sculpture was clearly a steppingstone towards the creation of The Spirits Collection where I would place the importance on the interior of the sculpture expressing the contemporary significance of our expanding consciousness and spirituality within the figure.
