From Lucid Dreams to Creation

Can artistic creation be led by your dreams?

Lucid: adjective
-expressed clearly; easy to understand
-showing or having the ability to think clearly, especially in intervals between periods of confusion or insanity
-Psychology (of a dream) experienced with the dreamer feeling awake, aware of dreaming, and able to control events consciously.  [1]

A forest of dreams lies just outside your window….’Go! Look!’

So I did…there were many different varieties of trees on this wet, cold yet beautiful morning…and in the middle of them all, I was standing… sculpting.

Such were my dreams as I awoke this morning.

What is my subconscious trying to tell me?

The mysteries and the secrets that our mind keeps from us are right there for us to see and understand, if we could just look deeper inside ourselves.

Alain Forget [2] says that our dreams are, in fact, an extraordinary form of intelligence that ‘loves us’.

They send nightly messages to help us become more conscious, and point at those things in us that we can work on now.

Dreams are the way that our subconscious can reach our consciousness and within them lies a path to our inner selves.

If we can learn to interpret their symbolic language we can evolve and change.  The biggest danger is in their correct interpretation.

Forget suggests that writing down our dreams for a period of two hundred days will allow us to begin to understand the patterns within, that will in turn, lead us to better understand the language of our dreams.

To be able to create using my dreams to guide me….

Perhaps that is why these pieces have come to me as Angels in the first place.

Two hundred nights filled with lucid dreams that hold the secrets of the next creation….two hundred days from dreams to lucidity….
